Windstruck Farm Cockapoos (and Irish Doodles, too!)

Why Irish Doodles?  With so many "designer dogs" to choose from nowadays, why go with a mix I haven't heard of before?

The "people part" of Windstruck Farm has had a long love-affair with Irish Setters.  Their beauty is legendary, but they are also smart (many awards in obedience and agility earned with the Setters hang on our walls!), incredibly loyal, are a breed with no ill genetic tendencies, and are naturally low-shedding dogs.  And their frolicing, happy-go-lucky personalities are incomparable!  So we thought we'd try a cross with a Standard Poodle, and the experiment was an astounding success!

Our Irish base is directly from the legendary Ironfire line of champion hunters, world-reknown both for pointing and retrieving.  See website:  www.ironfiresetters.net .  On our standard poodle side, we've got fantastic temperament and conformation, as well as hips tested and certified.

We are beginning to compile a contact list for folks interested in our 2009 litter, which will be an F1B cross, expecting some parti-colored babies, and hoping for some reds!  If you would like to be contacted when we know approximate expectant dates, please e-mail us and we'll add you to our list.
